Northwest Ohio Circle of Change

Category: newslettergreg @ 9:31 am

The second Leadership Counsel meeting took place today at Ottawa Hills High School! There were 28 people who attended representing six different schools in the NW Ohio Region.

A fantastic time of connection was enjoyed by all. The Leadership Counsel idea was born from a NW Ohio Circle of Change meeting were Walt Ralph of Clay High School suggested we give the students of our Challenge Day Schools a chance to connect during school hours over a brown bag lunch. Debbie Dolgin of Ottawa Hills led the event off with an inclusion activity of personal bingo. All participates roamed around the room introducing themselves then asking a question of the other to fill their bingo board. Anyone who covered more than 17 spaces of their bingo board received a Be the Change wrist band. Small groups were formed and then the real work began. Getting real with each other then brain storming and sharing what challenges and success we have experienced with our individual schools. We came up with constructive ways to make our schools and communities more supportive! Amazing young people putting their heads together! It was inspiring! I was grateful to be a part of this event!
